Word from the Spoon camp is that the new video for “The Underdog” from the upcoming July 10th release Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga will be previewing later today 6.5 on the Spoon Myspace page. Video isn’t up as of post time, but I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled and I’m sure much of the music world will be flooding the Myspace bandwidth with frequent visits. The newest video, as previously reported around the Internet was produced by Keven McAllester, and will feature cameos by a host of local Austinites including Wannabe’s Hunter Darby, Trail of Dead drummer Jason Reece, Chronicle writer Christopher Gray, and more to be seen. Also mentioned is forthcoming news about some last-minute small shows around the country, as well as more Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga news that we haven’t heard yet. For those of you in Austin, an in-store performance @ Waterloo Records is set for the 19th of this month, and this one is wondering if maybe one of those last-minute shows might follow later that evening?? How often does a band do an in-store with no show scheduled soon after? Just a thought.
