One of the great things about living in this great city of Austin, is the endless possibilities of new music discovery. On any given day, you can find something great that’s been right under your nose for months.

I recently stumbled upon this really cool local label, home to quite a few really great artists, Western Vinyl. Dirty Projectors, J Tillman, Here We Go Magic, and locals Balmorhea are just a few to mention, that call Western Vinyl home.

This song is my introduction to Balmorhea, and quite a fine one indeed. Wistfully haunting and soothing, a great companion to my morning coffee and music ritual.
