Deer Tick has been one of the more delightful music discoveries of 2010, and would probably be the last band that I would imagine to tackle putting out a Christmas tune. Their country tinged southern rock injected with lyrical content that can drain the joy out of any sunny day, just doesn’t seem to lend itself to the joyous feel expected from a Christmas tune. I personally don’t like most Christmas music, but that doesn’t make me a Scrooge does it? As the cover warns, the track has got some naughty in there somewhere.
